What is Connecting your Process with Assets?
Integrating a process with assets allows you to autofill answers from asset data or update your asset table directly through process submissions. This is especially useful in industries like retail or F&B, where you frequently collect store- or machine-level data such as license expiry, fridge temperature, etc.
Once the integration is set up, your process becomes smarter:
- You can pre-fill questions using stored asset data (like machine model, location).
- You can update asset fields (like attaching a new compliance document or updated expiry).

To link an asset table to your process, set it up via Process Properties β System Integration
Questions that Supports Asset integration in Process
Only some question types support asset integration because they match the kind of data your asset table can store.
- Got a license expiry date in assets? Use a Date question to fetch or update it.
- Need to show proof? File upload lets you attach docs right from the process.
Configure your Questions
Once your process is linked to an asset table, certain question types can now talk to that asset β either by fetching its current data or updating it. This makes your form dynamic and keeps your asset info always fresh.
Quick Steps to Set It Up:
- Get your Asset Table ID.
- Integrate the asset table with your process.
- In the process Builder, click on a question that supports asset integration.
- After putting up your questions, Choose under Enhancements:
- Link Asset Item (Read Only)
- Enable Asset Item Updation

Fill your Process by Auto Fill
Some processes are linked to asset tables so you can fetch or update data stored in your Taqtics assets β like licenses, inventory, documents, etc. If your process is integrated with assets, you'll notice an Auto-Fill button at the top while filling the form.
Use it to fetch pre-existing values or update asset details directly through the process.
Step-by-step: Fill an Asset-Linked Process
- From the left-hand menu, click on
Tasks.
- Use the search bar to find the process assigned to you.
- Click on the correct process from the list to open its details.
- Hit the
Startbutton to begin filling the form.
- At the top-right corner, click the
Auto-Fillbutton.
- Enter a valid Asset item ID (not the table ID) in the field shown.
- Once you hit enter, the form will auto-fill:
- Questions with Read Only asset enhancements will pull the current asset values.
- Questions with Enable Asset Item Updation enhancement will allow you to edit or update those asset fields.
- Continue answering any other required questions.
- Once done, click Submit to complete the process.
